I was engrossed by the chair story, and forced myself not to scroll ahead to see if there was a photo of it. When I got to the photo I was surprised by how decorative the woodwork was... I was expecting something much more austere. Still quite a bit to clean! 😅

I am glad that you rescued the chair. It survived so long, only to be lovingly restored, and it's story is welcome news in these times of built in obsolescence.
